Tool: Diversity Suitcase
Problem: With increase in remote work there is an increased risk/likelihood for social isolation, reduction in connectedness and team cohesiveness. Teams have multiple different roles and may become more siloed. New staff may not feel as much a part of the team due to staff in remote locations.
Tool Selection: Our Innovation Specialist identified and implemented this tool as it provides a personal way to achieve connectedness and build team relationships while enhancing cultural diversity.
Usage: The tool requires one individual to volunteer and share the tool in 5-7 minutes during staff meetings (monthly) or improvement huddles (biweekly).
Results: Staff love it and have provided comments to that effect. Staff willingly volunteer to share. This supports employee engagement by all. This supports enhanced team relationships.
