Allyson Hall, PhD
Professor – University of Alabama at Birmingham
I am a professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I serve as director of graduate programs in health care quality and safety, and co-director for the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education. My research focuses on improving access to high quality health care among vulnerable populations including low-income individuals, and people living with a disability or a chronic health condition. Current research activities also focus on reducing care fragmentation and the use of health care technology to improve quality of care. I serve on the board of the Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) and I am an Associate Editor for the Journal for Healthcare Quality. I have a PhD in Health Policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a MHA in health care administration from the University of Florida.
