Program Evaluation Specialist – Emergency Care Specialist
Catie Guarnacci is a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse and MSN candidate with experience working as a Program Evaluation Specialist for the Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaborative (MEDIC), a state-wide quality improvement initiative aimed at improving patient care outcomes associated with care decisions made in emergency departments. Her job responsibilities include leveraging shared knowledge and experience of site participants and providing timely performance feedback on identified quality measures to improve the care of their patients through dissemination and implementation of best practices. She also aids in the training and evaluation of the clinical data abstractors (CDAs) for her project to ensure high quality and consistent data abstraction across all sites. Guarnacci has previous experience working as a Registered Nurse at a pediatric level one trauma center with additional certifications including Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Pediatric Nursing Course (ENPC).
