Dr. Helen Riess is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Riess founded and leads Empathetics.com a company that provides evidence-based empathy and communication skills training for healthcare, law enforcement and business in the US and internationally. Dr. Riess is an internationally recognized speaker on the topic of empathy and emotional intelligence. Her TEDx talk “The power of Empathy TEDX” has been viewed nearly 700,000 times. Her new book, The Empathy Effect, has been licensed in 10 foreign countries and has been translated into Korean, Polish, Italian and Spanish, and an audio book.
