Dr. Blakely Amati is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and the Medical Director for SC’s largest Medicaid clinic, the Prisma Health Center for Pediatric Medicine. She has been the physician lead for her clinic’s QTIP (Quality through Technology and Innovation in Pediatrics) team, SC’s pediatric quality improvement collaborative, since 2016 and currently serves on QTIP’s Board of Advisors. Amati is also Carolina’s collaborative leader, supported by the AAP’s Community Pediatrics Training Initiative, which brings together child advocates from the eight residency programs in North and South Carolina with goals to advance advocacy education for the resident trainees in our programs and promote advocacy and QI initiatives for the children and families in our communities. She is currently completing her Lean Six Sigma green belt certification.
