Director Quality Programs and Performance Measurement – Presbyterian Healthcare Services
Joshua Cartwright has enjoyed a 15+ year career in Texas and New Mexico health care quality that includes rapid technology growth and a shift from traditional reimbursement to shared risk models focusing on the value delivered and elevating patient centric care delivery. Health care performance excellence is his passion, and healthcare quality is Joshua’s guiding compass for doing the right thing, at the right time and for the right reasons. As Director of Quality Programs and Performance Measurement Joshua oversees two key areas of work: state and federal regulatory programs for the Presbyterian Delivery System; and performance Measurement for Presbyterian’s annual measure creation cycle. Joshua earned a master’s degree in Health Care Leadership from Brown University and currently attends the Medical University of South Carolina completing his degree as a Doctor of Health Administration Candidate. Joshua proudly holds the honor of being a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), serves on the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award National Examiner Board as a Senior Examiner, on the Press Ganey Patient Experience Regulatory Advisory Council, and as a diversity, equity and inclusion committee member of his local ACHE chapter, New Mexico Healthcare Executives. Most importantly, Joshua considers himself an advocate for human rights and a champion of equitable health care.
