Enterprise Director of Clinical Outcomes – Centura Health
Leslie Russell currently is the enterprise director of clinical outcomes at Centura Health and published chapter author for HRO: A Healthcare Handbook for Patient Safety & Quality. Over her 17+ years at Centura Health, Russell has held multiple clinical and leadership roles including director of perioperative services, chief nursing officer, and group director of clinical special projects. Coupled with her passion for patient-safety innovation and quality improvement, she leverages her clinical, operational, analytical, and business knowledge to facilitate quality strategic decisions across Centura Health as we embark on our journey to high reliability and zero harm for patients, care teams, and communities alike. Russell has led multiple services areas and change initiatives across Centura Health but most recently has led its enterprise-coordinated response to the COVID-19 pandemic ensuring its commitment to its high-reliability journey by implementing and sustaining system-wide practices focused on the safety of its associates, providers, patients, and communities. Russell holds two bachelors degrees from the University of Colorado—one in biology and the other in nursing. In 2014, she received her Master of Science and in 2017, she received her Master of Business Administration.
