Quality and Learning Lead – Maryland Department of Health

Last year, Raghavi Anand graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with her MPH and a certificate in quality, patient safety, and outcomes research. Her previous experience and current job role make her uniquely qualified to present this information to the NAHQ audience. Anand currently serves as the Quality and Learning Lead at the Maryland Primary Care Program (MDPCP). Her primary job role is to apply quality frameworks and utilize various quality improvement (QI) tools and methodologies to improve the performance of primary care providers, practice operations, and MDPCP. She develops, implements, and evaluates quality and performance improvement activities to support the MDPCP’s mission and operational priorities. She proactively manages potential quality and patient safety risks and creates guidance on preventive care. Anand develops practice resources, spearheads QI projects, and drafts educational content to drive change at the MDPCP, affecting 500+ primary care practices across Maryland.
