Shivani Mehta, MD, MPH, FAAP
Assistant Professor – Atrium Health
Dr. Shivani Mehta is a wife, mother to two beautiful children, a pediatrician, and a passionate advocate for children. She graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and received her MPH at Harvard School of Public Health, focusing on community and family health. She trained at Carolinas Medical Center and is a general academic pediatrician at Atrium Health Myers Park Pediatrics, a safety net and continuity clinic for their pediatric residency program. She serves as faculty for the Community Advocacy Residency Education track, Physician Champion for Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Legal, and the Physician Champion of Community Child Health and Advocacy for Atrium Health. She is the physician champion for several resident QI projects on topics such as obesity, ACEs, and social determinants of health and is the workgroup chair for the Carolinas Collaborative, leading 8 institutions in implementing screening for food insecurity.
