Valerie Strockbine DNP, RN, CPHQ, CPPS is the Quality Improvement Team Leader for Safety, Risk, and Regulatory for The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her expertise includes various roles in pediatric intensive care nursing, QITL for The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, and as the Transfusion Safety Officer. In her current role Dr. Strockbine collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop risk mitigation strategies, patient safety initiatives, and evaluate their effectiveness to advance the elimination of avoidable harm.
