I have been a Mental Health nurse since 2013. I have worked on a geriatric psych inpatient unit, a youth psych inpatient unit, and my current unit a psychiatric emergency services unit (DPOD). I have also worked as a nurse at a level 3 group home for adolescents who were in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and Department of Social Services (DSS). I helped open DPOD in January 2018. I am a Charge Nurse on my unit. I am also a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse. I am also Chair of my unit based Shared Governance.
