As Director, Professional Nursing Practice my key responsibilities include Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidenced based nursing practice standards that improve nursing performance and outcomes. Facilitate empowerment of nursing colleagues through a shared leadership structure. • Lead and facilitate nursing councils within the hospital setting and serve as an administrative resource for Unit-based Councils related to patient care delivery and performance and outcomes improvement. Collaboratively work with the interdisciplinary team members to support outcome improvement and interface with Patient Safety and Quality to assure compliance with regulatory bodies for nursing practice. Facilitate patient care policies and procedure development that aligns with evidence-based standards and regulatory requirements. I have been in my current position since September 2021. I managed the Education department from 2001 to 2021 and was responsible for assessing educational needs and the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of education for interdisciplinary colleagues within my healthcare organization.
