Christian Aguiar serves as quality assurance nurse manager for ColumbiaDoctors – Outpatient Radiology of Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City. He is responsible for the oversight of ambulatory quality improvement, and internal and external reporting requirements ensuring compliance with TJC and other regulatory agency requirements for four outpatient Radiology practices. He is highly focused on supporting nurses, patients, the interprofessional healthcare team, and other stakeholders in their decision-making in all roles and settings to achieve desired outcomes with analytical expertise in determining and resolving process improvement needs. Christian’s two decades of work experience consist of combined bedside (Emergency, Pediatrics) and Nursing Informatics. Most recently, he led the Clinical IT team in standardizing the clinical documentation that the inpatient nurses use across twelve hospitals and medical centers under New York-Presbyterian.
