Christine Salonga is a registered nurse with 11 years of nursing experience in Medical-Surgical, Progressive Care, Intensive Care, and Ambulatory Care. Salonga obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University Central Texas graduating and completing her Master’s degree from the University of Texas El Paso. Salonga currently serves as one of the patient safety clinicians at the San Antonio VA since 2021. Ms. Salonga has recently completed an RCA whose focus is on the standardization and improvement of CPOE for Insulin initiation as well as patient diabetic education. She has also facilitated an RCA, an ARCA, and 2 HFMEAs in the past year. Salonga is very grateful to have a strong patient safety team and supportive organizational leadership. She is proud to serve in her capacity as a Patient Safety Clinician and is looking forward to more opportunities to learn, collaborate and innovate.
