Resident Physician – University of Alabama at Birmingham

Dr. Horde is an internal medicine resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received formal quality improvement training. Before attending the Medical College of Georgia for medical school, he worked as a cardiac device specialist at Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Piedmont Heart Institute, he led a quality improvement project that focused on improving efficiency and patient safety for remote loop recorder monitoring. In addition, he has worked on several different research projects, which have utilized artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling in clinical medicine. This work has culminated in presentations at both the national and international levels.
