Director of Quality – St. Joseph’s Medical Center

Jacquie De Mellow, PhD, RN, CCNS, CPHQ, HACP, is the director of quality at St Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton. She completed her Masters degree at Boston College in 1993. She has worked at SJMC since 1995 as Clinical Nurse Specialist and over the years covered all the adult Critical Care Units. She has been instrumental in driving change to improve outcomes with evidence-based practices. She loves bringing people together to collaborate on projects implementing the Rapid Response Team, ABCDEF bundle, and Sepsis bundles. She has a great passion for teaching at the bedside and in the classroom. As CNS, she provided critical care specialty expertise throughout the organization. She graduated with her PhD in Nursing Science and Health Care Leadership from Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, UC Davis, in September 2018. Her dissertation research focused on performance improvement with quantitative data analysis using EHR documentation by the interdisciplinary team. Currently, as Director of Quality, Jacquie leads the strategies aimed at improving hospital-wide quality and patient safety outcomes for the patient population served.
