Jodie Swain, DNP, RN, MBA, CPPS, serves as the Manager for Clinical Risk and Patient Safety for McLaren Medical Group. She did her dissertation on the need for screening for substance use disorder in ambulatory settings. She has a BSN from the University of Wisconsin, an MBA from Baker University, an MSN, and a DNP from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Swain has worked as a director, manager, nurse educator, adjunct professor, clinical nurse specialist, and risk manager. She is a member of the Michigan Society of Risk Management (MSHRM) since 2020 and is certified in patient safety and as a nurse manager leader.
