Clinical Quality Nurse – White Plains Hospital
Michelle Elsener, MBA, BSN, RN-BC, CPHQ, is the clinical quality nurse for WPHCares, a department at White Plains Hospital dedicated to providing data-driven, innovative solutions to ensure patients have access to the services they need after being discharged. In this role, she has used her clinical, leadership, and analytical skills to assist the medical director with designing and operationalizing a virtual health platform for complex care patients. Her experience with the Hospital’s EMR, along with her technical skills and collaborative efforts, aided in cultivating the platform for day-to-day operations within the department, supporting data collection and management for performance improvement. She has presented at local, regional, and national conferences for her work in developing a transitional care program at White Plains Hospital, including at Montefiore’s 11th Annual Research Symposium, the 33rd Annual Symposium on Healthcare Services in New York (United Hospital Fund), and the ANCC’s 2022 National Magnet Conference.
