In 2018, as the first Director of Quality for our Federally Qualified Community Health Center, I worked with our new Quality Assurance Manager to develop and deploy a structure for ongoing clinical site visits to review the compliance and quality of our primary care medical and dental programs across 20 service locations. These internal site visits, which we call ‘C-Qual’ (Compliance and Quality Assurance) continue to occur twice a year and have resulted in multiple process and quality improvement projects and successes over the last 5 years.
