Sharon Sutherland, MD, MPH

Sharon A. Sutherland, MD, MPH is a board-certified OB/GYN surgeon with extensive experience in health care quality and patient safety. Dr. Sutherland works closely with operational leaders and subject matter experts to set standards and drive sustainable improvements. She currently serves as Medical Director for Supply Chain at Cleveland Clinic. She co-chairs Enterprise Reprocessing Governance Council, which drives enterprise-wide improvements in reprocessing of reusable medical devices. Her experience includes service as Associate Chief Quality Officer for Cleveland Clinic and service on committees hosted by National Quality Forum, Association of American Medical Colleges, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and the Ohio Medicaid Perinatal Clinical Advisory Group. Dr. Sutherland completed a Master’s of Public Health degree at Columbia University and completed her medical degree and residency at The Ohio State University. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Biology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
