William Trick, M.D. is the Co-Director of the Center for Health Equity & Innovation, a practicing physician at Cook County Health (CCH), and a Professor of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. He worked as a medical epidemiologist for the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and subsequently joined the Collaborative Research Unit at Cook County Health. Dr. Trick’s career is focused on public health and clinical informatics, including working on electronic determinations for clinical quality measures. He leads an informatics team and software developers to develop custom software and database solutions to improve patient care for a diverse population that has a high prevalence of social risk factors for poor health outcomes. Dr. Trick holds a medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota and completed a fellowship as an EIS officer with the CDC.
