NICU Quality Program Manager – Children’s Health Dallas

Rebecca Palmer has been in quality for 7 years. She was a quality coordinator at a level IV NICU in Kansas City for five years, participating in the IHI book camp and managing and partnering with multidisciplinary team members on quality improvement initiatives. She received her Master’s in Executive Nursing leadership in 2015. In 2021, she transitioned to Children’s Health in Dallas to become their Level IV NICU Quality Program Manager. She also received my CPHQ certification in 2021. She is responsible for their quality and performance improvement program, by evaluating patient safety events (including Hospital Acquired Conditions), managing their quality improvement projects, collecting data and reporting to the NICU and other departments throughout the facility, and ensuring she is following the best practices through literature reviews and benchmarking with other facilities.
